This morning, USA Today gave an exclusive first look at some of the upcoming details inside The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Diagon Alley. Earlier this week we got a sneak peek at some of the animatronics, ride vehicles, and some of the special effects coming to Diagon Alley’s star attraction, Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts. Today, however, marks the first time we get to see Diagon Alley itself – including building facades, shop signs, and window displays.
Fans of the Harry Potter books and film series will recognize familiar Diagon Alley staples like The Leaky Cauldron, The Daily Prophet, Madam Malkin’s Robes For All Occasions, Spindlewarps Wool Shop, and even a large mural advertisement for the famous Pumpkin Juice served at the park. We also get a look at the Hogwarts Express train at its new home at Kings Cross’ Platfrom 9¾.
Take a look at the brand new photos below! What are you most excited about from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Diagon Alley?
We’ll update you with more as Diagon Alley gets closer to opening. No date has officially been announced yet, Universal is just saying Summer 2014. We will be attending the media preview event from June 17th – 20th so we’ll have lots of coverage for you then!
