Universal Orlando has set on a name for the bar and grill that will crown the new Aventura Hotel when it opens this August — Bar 17 Bistro. Details on this aptly named establishment (it does sit on the 17th floor) were released by Universal this morning, and here is what we know so far.
Bar 17 Bistro will be open to visitors during evenings, and accessible by a dedicated elevator that runs from the lobby to the rooftop. Although the cocktails and stunning views will be a large draw for Aventura’s guests, the bar and grill will also be open to other Universal Orlando guests and the public in general.
While enjoying some spirits on the summit of the hotel, guests will be treated to views of the area that take in all of Universal’s theme parks, resort hotels, and even the downtown Orlando skyline.
While no specific menu has been announced, Universal has promised “an assortment of small plates that range from unique options like Bao Bun dishes inspired by global destinations, to classic favorites like nachos, sliders, and salads.”
As far as drinks are concerned, Universal collaborated with the same mixologist and bar consultant who helped devise the cocktail menu at Sapphire Falls‘ Strong Water Tavern to create libations perfectly paired to their dining menu.
Although it will still be some time before Aventura opens, booking is currently available for the resort. Universal is offering a $50 hotel dining credit when you schedule a stay of four to six nights, as long as you book before June — booking a seven-night stay will increase the dining credit to $100.
