Texas Chainsaw Massacre announced for Halloween Horror Nights 26

It’s mid-April, so you know what that means – Halloween Horror Nights. Well, not the start of the event, but the start of excitement surrounding the event. Universal chose to kick off the countdown to scream season with their first house announcement for 2016, which will be The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, based on the 1974 classic horror film.

The movie is about a group of friends that encounter the film’s iconic character, Leatherface, and his cannibalistic family leading to death, daring escapes and more!

This isn’t the first time Texas Chainsaw Massacre has been done at Halloween Horror Nights, but it could be the best iteration. Over the years Universal has mastered psychological intimidation through chainsaws, which sets the bar high for how scary this house could potentially be.

Halloween Horror Nights 26 starts September 16 and runs on select nights through October 31.
