“The Secret Life of Pets” coming to Universal’s Superstar Parade
In an awesome move that makes complete sense, The Secret Life of Pets will finally be represented in Universal’s Superstar Parade this December. Just recently, the Hop float disappeared without much notice in order to make way for a new property. Some were speculating a float based on Sing, but Universal made the right choice by choosing Pets.
The interactive floats will represent two parts of the movie. The first float will feature Duke and Max in Central Park.
The other float will showcase apartments and the skyline of New York City and will feature other characters like Snowball, Gidget, Chloe, Leonard, and Buddy.
Universal’s Superstar Parade has always suffered in terms of its relevance. Hop was not the hit that Universal was hoping for, SpongeBob SquarePants is declining in popularity and I wont even mention Dora the Explorer. Really, the only reason to watch the parade was to see characters from Despicable Me. If Universal plays their cards right, they could be on the path to completely revitalizing this parade and making it a must-see.
Look for The Secret Life of Pets in Universal’s Superstar Parade this December and pick up the movie on Blu-ray this December 6th.
