Hard Rock Hotel has some of the best dining experiences on Universal property including one of the best hidden gems, a signature steakhouse and two bars filled with plenty of refreshing drinks and entertainment.
The Palm Restaurant
World-renowned for its prime cuts of meat, Palm Restaurant is the perfect place for a hearty meal in a classic New York style atmosphere. The cartoon caricatures of celebrities drawn on the walls hearken back to the original Palm Restaurant’s roots in the newspaper district of Manhattan where famous cartoonists would often exchange drawings for their meals. The caricatures of random people are slightly more confusing though. Open daily for dinner at 5:00 pm. Click here for The Palm Restaurant menu.
The Kitchen is one of the best hidden gems of Universal Orlando and is so good that rock stars even visit the restaurant to cook there! The Kitchen serves up hearty portions of homestyle classics throughout the day and offers a disgustingly large piece of cake for dessert if you haven’t already had enough. Character meals are available on Saturday nights from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm. Open for breakfast Monday – Friday from 7:00 am – 11:00 am and Saturday & Sunday from 7:00 am – noon. Open for lunch and dinner daily. Click here for The Kitchen lunch menu. Click here for The Kitchen dinner menu.
Emack & Bolio’s
Conveniently located just off the pool and next to The Kitchen, this Boston ice cream parlor is the perfect way to cool off on a hot day. Only the finest ingredients are used to create eclectic flavors such as Bye Bye Miss American Mud Pie, Deep Purple Cow, Cookie Monster Mash and Jumping Jack Grasshopper Pie, as well as your standard Vanilla Ice Ice Baby and Strawberry Fields Forever. Emack & Bolio’s is also where you’ll find Starbucks Coffee served fresh.
Velvet Bar provides the perfect atmosphere for ‘aspiring musicians and their groupies’ to hang out and get discovered. It’s the ideal spot to relax, enjoy a specialty cocktail and appetizers. Each month a “Velvet Sessions” is scheduled. This special ticket event includes live music, free drinks and finger foods during warm-ups with a cash bar when the band hits the stage.
Whether you’re sunbathing, relaxing in a cabana, playing in the sand or just waiting for that important call from the coast to come through, this poolside bar and grill is the place to be for a light snack or a refreshing cocktail.
Now through December 14, you can book the Splash, Stay and Play Vacation package that offers 4-Night hotel accommodations, 3-Park and 4-Day tickets to Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay, giving you a savings of up to $100 dollars off.
