Fall in Love with Sapphire Falls!

In summer 2016, Universal Orlando opened its newest hotel, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort. My family stayed at the resort in September and fell in love with it. Here is why you should fall in love with it too!

ValueThe Value

Even though the hotel is classified as a Preferred resort, it competes in quality with many deluxe hotels. You get close proximity to the parks, water taxi transportation, and first-class service all for a lower price than you would if were staying at one of Universal’s Premier hotels. When you are traveling on a budget, this can make or break a trip. One thing to note, however, is that you do not receive the Universal Express Pass that you would receive free by staying at a Universal Premier resort. During busier seasons, this could make a true Premier hotel a better value than staying at Sapphire Falls.

FreshnessThe Freshness

One of the things we were most impressed with was the resort’s overall cleanliness. All of the common areas and our room were pristine. I was particularly impressed by the towels at the pool, the crisp white floors and walls, and the immaculate dining areas. Hopefully, the hotel can maintain this level of freshness over time.

BeautyThe Beauty

The hotel’s Caribbean-inspired architecture is breathtaking. Sparkling waterfalls, tropical plants, impressive chandeliers, and beach-themed pillows all give the hotel a lush, yet welcoming feel. Our family favorite was the beautiful spiral staircase just off from the lobby. We made sure to use it every day of our stay!

The ShowerThe Shower

We stayed in a standard room with two queen beds. The bathroom was separated into a vanity and bath area. The separation made it easy for family members to get ready at the same time. What really impressed us, however, was the shower! The large stand-alone shower was perfect to relax in after a day at the park. The water pressure was good, and there was a bench inside. One drawback to note was the rolling door that separated the shower and toilet from the rest of the bathroom. Beware, the door has a tendency to roll back after being closed! For those wanting privacy, this can be bothersome. Also to note, not all room types at Sapphire Falls have the stand-alone shower. Some still have the tub/shower combination.

ServiceThe Service

The resort is ran by Loews Hotel & Resorts, and it shows in the level of service provided. When our family was there, staff members were always ready to answer a question, hand out a beach towel, or make your specialty coffee. The maid service was also always nearby for any issues that might arise. Loews has been providing quality hotel experiences since 1946.
