The world has been sitting and waiting to hear news about Nintendo coming to Universal Parks & Resorts, but now the world can stand up and move on with their lives… maybe?
A Nintendo themed land should be open at Universal Studios Japan by 2020, in time for the start of the Olympics in Tokyo. The story was revealed by Sankei News, not Universal, and also uncovered that Universal and Nintendo will be investing over $350 million into the brand new land that will NOT be a theme park.
The immersive experience should be about the same size as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter according to this handy, dandy map and apparently will only feature Mario at this time.
Again, Universal has not officially made an announcement regarding Nintendo at Universal Studios Japan, but hopefully some official news will come soon regarding everyone’s favorite Italian stereotype.
