It’s official – Fast & Furious: Supercharged will be the latest addition to San Francisco at Universal Studios Florida in 2017.
That means Disaster! A Major Motion Picture Ride…Starring YOU and Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Revue must ascend into Universal Orlando heaven. On September 8, Frank Kincaid will be closing the doors to Disaster Studios and we will never again be able to help shoot the film Mutha Nature. Beetlejuice has a little more life left in him, but he is expected to move on to greener pastures after Halloween Horror Nights no longer needs his stage.
This news comes as no surprise after Fast & Furious: Supercharged opened at Universal Studios Hollywood this past summer as the big finale to the Universal Studios Tram Tour. However, don’t expect a cloned version of Hollywood’s Fast & Furious: Supercharged. The official Universal Orlando Blog reports:
This ride is going to fuse everything you love about the films with an original storyline and incredible ride technology. You’ll get to check out some of the high-speed, supercharged cars you’ve seen on the big screen. You’ll be immersed in the underground racing world made famous in the films and explore the headquarters of Toretto and his team. Then, you’ll board specially-designed vehicles for an adrenaline-pumping ride with your favorite stars from the films.
No other details are being given about Fast & Furious: Supercharged at this time, but expect it to be a massive hit when it opens. This past year Furious 7 made over $351 million dollars at the domestic box office helping make it the 5th highest grossing movie of all time with a worldwide gross of $1.5 billion dollars. Clearly the franchise is hated and despised around the world.
